Brittany is a Jersey native who has been dancing since she could walk. With an extensive background in dance and theatre, she is able to bring a unique level of energy and fun to her classes. While earning her B.A. in Theatre at the University of West Florida, she had the fantastic opportunity to teach and choreograph both at the college level and professionally with Ballet Pensacola. Brittany was selected to be a primary instructor for New York’s ‘BeFitNYC’ campaign, and has been featured on New York news stations including NY1 & Telemundo.
As both personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist, Josh is a fitness professional certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In addition, he holds certifications and licenses in many different group exercise formats including Les Mills Bodypump, Les Mills Bodycombat, ViPR, NESTA bootcamp, Zumba Fitness, Aqua Zumba, ZumbAtomic and Zumba Toning. Josh’s passion for health and fitness is due largely to the battles he faced with obesity in his younger years. These battles led to a great journey into fitness, and an amazing lifestyle change. With five years in the fitness industry, Josh believes strongly that it is never too late to embark on your own personal fitness journey.
Christopher is currently working on season 2 of NBC’s hit TV show, “SMASH”. He is thrilled to be back after touring with Twyla Tharp’s “Come Fly Away” and with the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. He received his BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School and has since received numerous awards and recognitions, including being recognized as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts by the NFAA and receiving a Princess Grace Award. He was named one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch in 2009″ and was recently mentioned in the “Stand Outs” section of Pointe Magazine.
Born in Queens, Marcella Walker has been performing in both dance and stage theatre for 10+ years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Movement Science from the City University of New York, fitness certifications with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, Zumba B1 &B2, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine in both group exercise and personal training. In 2009, she joined Wingspan, a non-profit group to put “The Arts” in New York City Public Schools, and has been teaching kids ages 5-18 how to dance since. Marcella loves working with children and is also certified in Zumbatomic.
Amanda combines her love for fitness and passion for helping others, to better their lives. As both a group fitness instructor and social worker for over 15 years, she holds several fitness and training certifications in addition to Dual Masters Degrees in Social Work and Education. In both of her careers, Amanda believes that inspiring self-determination in each individual is the key to creating a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Shortly after taking her first step, Colleen began to dance. Two short years after receiving her Zumba instructor license, she has become one of the most respected instructors in the New York City area, teaching at such esteemed establishments as SOB’s and Saturday Night Live and appearing on The Dr. Oz Show.
