Dance to the Beat of the City with Afro-Fusion Burn

For the month of August, we are partnering with Water Street Pops, a city initiative dedicated to bringing the best activities to Water Street’s privately owned spaces (POPS). We are pleased to offer three complimentary classes of Afro-Fusion Burn, our famous signature class performed by the talented Irina Peschan. The classes will take place every Wednesday starting August 14th until August 28th at the Elevated Acre on 55 Water Street. Join us at 6:00pm for a unforgettable outdoors experience.

About Afro-Fusion Burn
Afro-Fusion Burn is a Zumba® class designed by the fabulous Irina Peschan and based primarily on music and dance from the African continent and the Caribbean. From Mali and Congo to Trinidad and Haiti, you will be taken on a musical and movement journey that will infuse traditional African and Afro-Caribbean choreography into a very high cardio Zumba® class. Be ready to smile a lot, work hard, and sweat, sweat, sweat!

About Irina Peschan
Irina began her dance career as a 5 year old in Moscow, Russia. Within a year, she was on tour and performing on the best stages of Russia and Europe. Upon her arrival in NY, Irina joined the Brighton Ballet Theater and later continued her dance training at the Performing Arts High School and Columbia University. For the past ten years she has studied West African, Congolese, and Haitian dance, as well as Samba and belly dance, with some of the best teachers in NYC. Teaching Zumba has given Irina an opportunity to share her most beloved dance styles with her students.
